:: How It Works

Steps For Boat Renters

1. Search Renter Info and Contact Owner
  • Utilize our easy to use search system to find boats that you like.  Then inquire to the owner, save to your favorites, and send to your friends that may be accompanying you on your boat rental.
2. Secure Reservation with Deposit and  Sign Rental Agreements
  • Read over the agreements that the renter sends you and send away your deposit with the signed forms back to the renter to secure your rental.  DONT FORGET TO REGISTER YOUR RENTAL WITH RENTBYBOATER TO SECURE A GUARANTEE ON YOUR RENTAL DEPOSITS.

3.Send Final Payment Before Rental
  • Don't forget to send your final payment by the date of the owners request to ensure your rental is secured.
4.Pick Up Boat
  • Pick up your rental vessel, and don't forget to have lots of fun.

5. Give Feedback
  • Every owner would like to make their experience as enjoyable as possible.  So please take 5 minutes of your day and rate the vessel you rented.

Steps For Boat Owners

1.  Check Availability Answer Questions and Send Rental Agreement
  • You will receive an inquiry in your Rentbyboater message system.  Respond to any questions a renter may have and send the documentation to the renter as appropriate.  Rentbyboater provides rental forms for your convenience.

2. Receive Deposit and Rental Agreements
  • Congratulations you have secured your rental.  Make sure that you provide details of when the final payment is due before the contracted rental date.
3. Receive Payment and Send Pre-Arrival Instructions
  • Receive your final payment and provide any last minute instructions to the renter such as, directions, things to bring, and any other necessary information.

4. After Boat is Returned Give Feedback
  •  After your renter returns the boat and you finalize the rental by reviewing the boats condition, collecting any gas or additional costs, and refunding all applicable deposits; don't forget to rate your renter.  This will allow other owners to see how great of a renter they have been.
